Season- The season will be split into three (3) segments. Segment One will include weeks one through seven. Segment Two will include weeks eight through fourteen. Segment Three will include weeks fifteen through playoffs, including the Super Bowl. Entry into the league is $40. Each segment will be for $10 per person, plus $10 for season totals. Payouts are as follows- $70, $40, $30, $25, $20, $15. First place in each division wins a $10 bonus. Ties are broken by total $ earned then total wins for that segment or season which ever applies.
Rules-
Regular Season- Each player will pick five games, against the spread. Each player must also choose an over and an under vs. the spread. Each player is allotted $20 to assign to these seven picks as he sees fit. $1 must be assigned to each game. Also, a minimum of one over and one under must be picked per week. You cannot “double pick” to ensure you get points (I.E. picking the over and the under of the same game) A win earns the total number of $ assigned to that game. A loss earns zero $ and a tie earns half of the $ assigned to that game. Lines will be posted on the website as soon as they are available. If there isn’t a posted line for a game when I post the lines, than we can’t pick that game. Picks must be sent in before MIDNIGHT the night before the first game of the week. Late picks will only be accepted if I am available to add them. The player with the fewest $ earner for the week, in their division, will get zero points awarded, the player with the second fewest will get one point awarded and so on, this results in the player with the most $ earner for the week being awarded a number of points equal to the number of players in the division minus one.( With 8 players in each division, first place gets 7pts, second gets 6pts….) Ties will split the points that would be awarded for the places they are tied for. If you have an undefeated week, you get a 2 point bonus. Also, the top three scores in the league, each week, will receive a one point bonus. This bonus does not get split, if there are four players with a “top three” score, then all four get a point.
Your total points are then compared to those of all 24 players in the league for payouts at the end of the segment/season.
Playoffs- Everyone picks all games and all over/unders. Each week you will be allotted $20 to assign to the picks.. $8 of those will be split up among the picks evenly and the other $12 can be assigned at the players discretion.
A win earns the total number of $ assigned to that game. A loss earns zero $ and a tie earns half of the $ assigned to that game.
IE, the first week of the playoffs has 4 games, for a total of 8 picks (4 over/unders and four team picks). Each pick will be worth 1 point minimum and then you can take the other $12 and assign them to any team or over/under you choose. They can all go on one game, they can be spilt evenly over all eight picks or somewhere in between.
The second week of the playoffs will work the same since it also has four games.
The third week will have 2 games and therefore four picks. Each pick is worth $2 minimum and you would still have $12 extra to assign as you like.
The super bowl, similarly would have two picks, each worth $4 minimum and $12 to assign as you choose.
As always, no double picking (betting over and under on same game) to make sure you get some points.
